Soo since munson posts his projects figured i'd post mine.Should have this within afew weeks ;D Gonna be fun and this would be why i'm not around as much as i was befor.She looks bad but shes actully alot better then it looks  |

Update Just got the car home on monday and gonna tear into her this weekend i hope as its 10 mins from my house as i still can't find a garage for it grrrr I went to clean her up tonight but was too dark by the time i got there,took afew pics but there quite dark but will post em anyways till i get back there   |

It already is,every time i see it i find something new on it that i did'nt notice last time and all the little things are just stunning on the car. Car came with the origanal title and everything its just sick and the guy at the boarder said its the first one hes seen in 20 years working there.Car was last on the road in 60 or 68 i saw 60 but the last owner said 68. Story on the car is a family got it new in 51 and had it up till they died in around 1990 and they parked it in a garage for the years it was'nt on the road.How i got it was saw it and thought it was hudson so we stoped and asked about it and turned out the owner of the car was one of my dad old friends which he use to work with 30 years befor and this was about a 2 hours away on someone eles land which is just carzy of that happening but yea the guy did'nt wanna sell it as he was gonna work on it but realized he had too many projects(has 3 model a's in the work +more) and when he found out it was my dad we ended up geting her.She has sat in that same place for the last 15 years untill we saved her from there. From the looks of it there was around 2500 of this model built and from what i've seen theres around 200-400 left if not less as i checked the packard registry. Not sure what to do about the floors yet as i can buy floorboards for it supringly but they look abit weak so not sure if i wanna make my own or just buy them as that will be one of the first steps ;D What sucks is i almost lost the car as this guy from ontario saw it 2 weeks ago and called the owner non stop trying to get it and another day and the car would'nt be ours  but it is ;D I'm torn for the wheels because i wanted to go with whitewalls and coker rims like this  but the thing is check out the caps that came with the car there friging awsome   For the look of the car i was thinking one of these  or  |

Scallops all the way, leave the flames alone...All the usual trimmings for a period correct hotrod; Chop, Chanel, French and be sure to dump PLENTY of unburned fuel...

Unno about those yet,i like them but i wanted to go with green and flames but we'll see when we get there as theres alot of work yet.
I'd like to chop her but i'm not going to since its a packard.If it was something like a merc etc it'd get chopped but i wanna just repair the body and not make any changes to it because theres not that many parkards and in stock left these days
haha well this is our 4th car now we also have
65 pro street impala
77 ventura
a 40s jeep(not sure what it is as i have'nt seen it yet,dads friend offered and we payed but no room for it)
and in about 2 weeks were gonna have a 29 3w chevy so alot of projects lol and always looking for more as i think i'm going to open a rod shop with my dad

i want to have a 49 mercury so F'n bad. its my dream car. chop the top, drop it to the ground, slap about 5-600 hp to it.
or i really want a 57 chevy, 2 door, black with flames on it. be b***hin with a 671 sticking out of the hood of it.

Theres a Nomad in my area for CHEAP, like 1800$...Listing says it needs SERIOUS help but it plenty cheap enough for you to start a build...Plus if you're gonna go with that kind of power you'll need to tighten up that chassis anyways...No sence in molesting something close to if not original...
I thought about it...Got a 4-link sitting here along with a coilover package and a nice 4 bolt SBC (383) that would make a nice project...
BUT, I don't need another juiced up wagon ATM...
My mother should still have a nice black (ALL BLACK) '50 Merc in her garage in AZ...You'd prolly drop a nut, think MURDER...The cars name is actually Sinister...

there was a 50 or 51 packard that needed full restoration, at an auction around here, i could have picked it up for $300.00
old full frame cars are pretty tight as is, take something like my camaro, thing would twist like a pretzel if i didnt have frame connectors on it.

there was a 50 or 51 packard that needed full restoration, at an auction around here, i could have picked it up for $300.00 that'd been sick for 2 of us on here to have those ;D but if you want a 57 go for a 4 door you can do the 2 door converson if you want that and you can pick up 4 doors pretty cheap still as there "taxis" well cept my freinds sister(her car) wanted 24,000 down to 18,000 down to 12,000 now at 9,000.Way that car is at best its worth 3500 but there the type that want a big cash bonus on what they bought cheap from someone Muns are u far from detriot i forget becasue i may be making a trip out there befor the years out as i really wanna visit the old packard factory befor the thing falls down plus i know this place below a freeway with about 20 old packards nobody wants =| and if u were maybe could check some of that stuff out & more |

Mann when i was at one of the nationals there was this wagon everything there stock and it was like 1800$ with orig paint n everything like a late 60s early 70s thing was niceee i wanted to bring her home but too many projects as it is lol and what kept me drooling was it was parked across from were i was the whole weekend ;D onec i get a job and a place to keep stuff i'll end up with like 10 frigin cars with how much stuff i found,I'm pissed because i know of a 500$ 69 road runner mann i want it but no place/money for it right now |
