well, you can add me to the list of the 9 or 10% of people that are currently unemployed in michigan.
as of friday i was layed off temporarily. wasnt anything against me, just because im lower on the seniority than others and our shop was slow.
so friday i spent all day packing up my tools and loading up my car.
so a total of possibly 3-5 people are getting layed off, i was one of them.
so now come monday, im going to go to the unemployment office, and go job hunting.
there is a saturn dealer in town that i would like to try and get in, i know some people there. also there is a chevy dealer about 3 miles from me.
it doesnt break my heart exactly, i have foreseen this coming for about 6 months now. it was a decent dealer to work for, but its time to move on.
they dont want to lose me to another dealer, but its looking like at least 3 months before im back, if possible.
time to explore other opportunities.
