I only hope the interface is as quick as it's shown in this video, because forza 2 moved at a snails pace

Yeah, no kidding, they even have their own dedicated servers and they still can only get 8 people. I think there's going to be alot of disappointed people on Oct 27

Yea that is hugely disappointing. Really dont understand why they so epicly fail at that. ToCA 2 even had 12 people in a room, and that was like 03/04 when it came out. The rest of the game is looking to be awesome though, physics are the only major thing that worry me still.

Awsome? From what i saw you can only play online with your friends otherwise you gotta play by turn 10s settings aka auto break, raceing line, full stm, traction, break etc and thats just stupid if i gotta say. Also from what i heard in that video your not able to kick people unless its voted on like COME on now, because so many people whined on the turn 10 site they made it so the a******s can't leave thats so dumb 2 things i did'nt like right away.
Is it me or do the cars look like they drift alot now cuz that guy playing with the audi anytime he did keep it on the road it was pretty much sideways and looked like a ridge racer game =S
But to what u guys said, moto gp had 16 players and that was like 2003-2004 so this craps geting old considering 90% of the games these days are 12+ players

They are allowing you to race with any settings you want in the dedicate servers Coupe. Its going to be just like Forza two where you pick your setting after you pick your car. So it would be insanely stupid if they made servers where everyone had to race with auto break. As far as them saying it wont slow down your lap time with auto break... it will, Everyone in this group can take that turn on laguna that goes up to the corkscrew with out break and maybe letting off just a bit and the break line says OMG BREAK!! lol I feel this game is going to be amazing. Just an amped up version of Forza two but just with online dedicated servers. As far as 8 players online instead of twelve. They probably do that by choice and not because they dont have the capabilities. The physics look pretty much the same and the drifting you have to ignore in the video coupe... the guy was not only a sh*tty driver, but he was also using a stock car with out a tune and alot of the cars on forza two slide a bit with out a tune on them just as much. This game will be awsome and I cant wait to play the demo and then the real game.

i didnt realize a demo will be here next week. game should be awesome. i do not want to see any form of NFS in this game. if the demo resembles it in any way, im done with forza. and i wont buy another EA game ever, so that rules out shift. next i guess is GT5.

Shift has decent physics. Simbin did the racing portion of Shift, so it kinda feels like Race Pro. Just a tad arcadey though. It's not a bad game and as you progress the cars feel way better and it really starts to feel like Race Pro

i'll pass. not even going to give EA the privelage of attempting to try there pile of sh*t a chance through a 7 dollar rental on my xbox.
There WILL NOT be any form of EA game that will go anywhere close to my Xbox again. EA can eat the corn out of my sh*t.

I agree I really look forward to the demo coupe but i cant base any of the physics of the game from that video because the guy was such a sh*tty driver lol. The good thing is that all of these features such as the auto break and rewind button... WE ARE BEING REWARDED MORE MONEY FOR NOT USING THEM!!!! so why complain about the new features. They are trying to expand to a broader horizon of gamers and we all know that little kids wont play it online if they cant have the auto break or somethin like that. lol The game will be great no doubt.

Because people can just use that and get something they don't desrve thats why.In a real race you don't get to rewind. Its not godam back to the futur thats why its retarted

You dont have to use the feature if you dont want to. Just turn it off if you dont wish to have it, you'll be rewarded for not using it. Its only there for people who want it so the game can appeal to a wider audience.

exactly. i mean really you could put all sorts of power ups, and even have it where you can have special powers for each car, but that could be a feature also. its F'n stupid. leave that bullsh*t for the games like need for speed. like coupe said, it isnt back to the future. what would be better yet is if the car goes back in time when you go 88 mph. i want a damn racing simulator. quit trying to over engineer the game. starting to become the general motors of the gaming world. lets pack all this sh*t into this game, maybe that will get someone to buy it, but in reality all it does is piss people off. like cramming 15 gallons of sh*t into a 10 gallon bucket.

I dont get why this is pissing you guys off so much..Just turn the damn thing off if you dont like it. Its not like its going to be usable in Online Play so wtf does it matter to you?

You'll understand when people are running into you non stop online because they think they can now race because of that sh*t

because this is supposed to be a racing simulation, at least according to turn 10, but then again, these are the same genious's that created the deadzones in forza 2, that can magically slow your car from 200 mph to 45 mph in the matter of 1/2 second. so i guess it isnt surprising to me. im trying the demo as soon as it downloads. if i like the demo, im preordering my copy from gamestop. if not, well then i guess i'll be playing forza 2 alot longer.

after playing the demo, i can say this. i actually have grown fond of that rewind feature. really helps you see where your losing time on the track, you can retry your approach without having to run another lap. i think it would be a better idea if it were only available in say a practice mode, or testing. racing.... not so much.
graphics are sick. interior views look ok, not the best, but ok. im sure it takes alot to create 400 different in car views. nice to see that the car feels more like a car. better physics. there is a feel of weight transfer, rather than just having your car glued to the track. 1 thing i dont care for - when you begin a race, it doesnt give you any time to prep, say to set your launch rpms. you have 1 second if that in between the starting clips to the start of the race.
all in all i like it. will make for a really nice game, i also like the fact you can paint any car.

lmao munson. Awesome post.
I completely agree with the stupid Starting Grid thing. I can never get the correct RPM because you just arent given enough time. The camera spinning around is annoying, but I can deal with it, but why do we need our car revved for us so its impossible to properly rev it for the start?

I agree totally with you about that munson for that i like the rewind idea just not for real races thats my beef with it.
As far as cars i like the mini and audi otherwise the others did'nt impress me.you guys?
