well, im thinking about switching to a PS3. the xbox just isnt doing it for me right now. im tired of microsoft releasing games that are unfinished.
i had the chance to play my friends PS3 over the weekend. there is some pretty neat games for it. i really want that formula 1 game. also i think GT5 will be a much better suited game for me than forza 3.
i played the GT5 demo and i have to say im quite impressed with it. also i had the chance to play the game little big planet. if youve never seen this before, its bad assed.

You should just get both like me.
If you think its M$ releasing unfinished titles then your an idiot.(I'm not intending to yell at you with that comment btw) The games are identical on the PS3. I don't just mean the cross-platform games either. Most cross platform games are actually better on the 360 as they are developed on the 360 and then just ported to the PS3. The exclusives PS3 games get released unfinished as well. Same as PC titles and I would assume Wii games. Its all games. Its unfortunately the way game developers are doing business nowadays.
GT5 has AGAIN been indefinitely delayed after just a couple months ago them promising it would come out summer 2010. The problem? They released a GT5 Time Trial(1 track, 2 cars) onto the PSN to get ppl pumped, and it totally bombed. It was terrible. The physics were f***ed up. So they've delayed the game again. At this rate it'll never get released LOL.
LBP is absolutely amazing. People who have never played that game are really missing out. It is just fantastic. I've only ever even played it with 2 players, I've yet to experience the full 4 player experience. Only let down on that game(and its unfortunately a big one) is the way you search for User created levels. Its just a complete random search, you have no control what so ever which is just epic failure. If they could have given a proper way to search and see user created levels the game would have been so much better.
I've not really played the F1 game. I've played the demo with my controller, but that sucked ass. I've heard from people who have played it properly with a wheel that it is an excellent single player experience. Now that I've got my wheel I should probably go rent it one day to check it out.
If you are seriously thinking about picking one up then I would extremely highly recommend that you keep your 360 as there are many things the 360 offers that the PS3 does not. Biggest one being XBOX Live. It is just superior to the PSN in so many ways. Interested to see whats going to happen with this new paid for PSN subscription they'll be rolling out. Perhaps then the PSN will become even with XBL. No idea.
It also makes an awesome blu-ray player which is an added bonus.

Each system has its +'s and -'s ive noticed. The PS3 is the only self updating blue ray player on the market. Thats one step sony took the basically t-bags the xbox 360. However in a way I can say munson has a valid point with the unfinished games comment. The content that xbox 360 games have to leave out in order to fit it in on one disk is a whole lot more then you think. To put size quality into perspective Ill tell you this. The first metal gear solid game that came out for the PS3 would have taken 6 xbox 360 discs to fit all of what was in that game. I still think both systems are gonna have their glitches with the games no matter which way you go. Its just a fact of life. In the past 4 years of going to school for video game design, I can tell you that the process for making a game is a very very long one and we are only human and can never get something right as detailed as coding and modeling can be to where every game is 100% perfect. For gameplay and online experience I have to give to xbox and xbox live...Microsoft has worked their asses off to provide a great online experience and its something sony will eventually try and catch up to but I think that makes Microsoft work even harder to get things like Netflix and ESPN, and possibly more things the sony PS3 has yet to provide. My room mate has a PS3 and I will say it is pretty fun. I love GT5 and absolutely love playing mag. Its incredible. However I still think the xbox is the better system for gaming and just the online experience dominates the PS3 by far. Obviously both systems are great in their own way, it just depends on what you want to do with it.

But to go on the blu ray is good but soon it'll be out dated.I've watched the same movie on blu ray vs normal dvd and its not a huge difference and i'm sorry but to pay 10$+ more just for better color i'll stick with my normal dvd as it dose the job and i can pretty much get 2 for the price of one blu ray.
Ps3's online is dead now since all it is now is hackers from that last thing that happened and trying to play a game is bs as its impossible to win unless you got more hacks now. While i do like the fact of ps3's older styled system(i don't like change much these days as everything is getting worse) i will say the xbox is better for that but they keep changeing and my fav was pre the f*cking avatars.
