Summary
Description The one and only 1963 Chevrolet Corvette "Rondine" Edition. Built for the 1963 Paris Auto Show by world renowned design house Pininfarina, and commissioned by Chevrolet. Features a 327cid/360hp V8 with a 4-speed and power brakes. This historically significant prototype motorcar has been stored and preserved at the Pininfarina Museum since new, and is being offered for the first, and most likely last time ever. On the well-known Chevrolet Corvette chassis, Pininfarina has realized this special coupe displaying sports characteristics. The body style is based upon the idea of maximum simplicity and functionality, and features a remarkable outline owing to the lightness of its sections. The limited use of chrome stresses sober elegance of design and harmony of the whole. The front part, designed to obtain an outstanding penetration into air, slopes forward along a smooth curve, from where the fenders originate, slightly projecting with respect to hood configuration. Centrally in the front end, an opening is provided, acting as air intake, decorated by means of a thin chrome horizontal bars grille. The fixed front double headlights provided with removable shielding built into the body, grants perfect continuity in the car front part and excellent night visibility. The front bumper, made of chromed steel with extremely thin section, consists of two especially designed elements, limiting the radiator grille at both sides. The side panel features a sharp angle originating from the radiator grille, running along the front fender, the side and finally dying into the crest of the rear fender, thus giving the car a peculiar slender appearance. The rear end features a new and interesting "swallow tail" arrangement. Rear fenders, in fact, project with respect to the car main central structure. The turnout is a broken line plan view, resulting in a remarkable lightness of tail appearance. Built in the rear fenders are the horizontal, specially designed, stoplights. The petrol filler box lid has been replaced by a quick release cap. The roof, originating from a wide double curved windshield, is quite thin and light and rests on a typical rear element, having "roll bar" shape and function. Side windows can be lowered completely. The luggage compartment is located inside and below the rear window. The car interior, habitability and comfort of the original model has remained unchanged and is made out of elastic leather. The seats, comfortable and wrap-around, are provided in the back with an opening assuring continuous aeration. ** SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY **

Summary The "Italien" was a styling study by Ford and built by Ford's concept car builder, Dearborn Steel Tubing. Shown as part of Ford's Custom Caravan and exhibited at the 1964 New York World's Fair. Titled as a 1962.
Description Truly unique in all the world - Presenting the 1963 Thunderbird Italien Concept Car. Departing from the traditional Thunderbird greenhouse, this special 1963 Thunderbird features a new roof line with aerodynamic styling and a customized leather interior with bucket seats front and rear. The Thunderbird Italien was a styling study from Ford's own Thunderbird styling department and was designed by Fords own Thunderbird Stylists who actually built the plywood buck over which they sculpted the clay model of the roof in their own studio and then gave the car to DST where Vince Gardner made the one piece plaster cast over the clay from which he made the fiberglass roof and deck lid. Car designer/builder Vince Gardner constructed the Italien while working for Dearborn Steel Tubing Co., Ford's outsourcing contractor. DST also built the 100 1964 Ford Thunderbolts as well as other Ford non-assembly line concept vehicles. The Italien recently received a complete, original, rotisserie restoration by Duluthian Thunderbird restorer Tom Maruska and was just completed in August 2007. The Italien was a featured in Ford's 1962-63 "Custom Car Caravan" and appeared in Autoramas throughout the United States such as Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami and more. The Italien was featured in 14+ magazines in 1963 and 1964 such as "Motor Trend", "Hot Rod", "Car Life", "Motorcade", "Speed and Custom" and others. Copies of all known publications are included with the Italien as well as nearly two years of research data assembled by restorer Tom Maruska. Also included are 3 CDs with hundreds of restoration photos. The Italien also appeared in the 1964 New York Worlds Fair's "Cavalcade of Custom Cars" and was prominently featured in a special World's Fair publication. After appearing in the World's Fair, records from Ford's Jacque Passino's files indicate the Italien was destined for a fate typical of most Ford concept cars -- The crusher. However, in September 1964, the Italien was sold or presented to actor Dale Robertson of TV's "Tales of Wells Fargo", "Wagon Train" and other shows. Around 1986, noted Ford collector Don Chambers purchased the car with the idea of adding it to the auto museum he planned for his retirement. Don became terminally ill and offered the Italien for sale. Thunderbird restorer Tom Maruska purchased it in January 2006 and completely restored the Italien to exacting and documented original specifications. . Recently "Legendary Ford" magazine featured a series covering the restoration of the Italien over five issues culminating with the Italien appearing on the cover of the November/December 2007 issue. This complete series, along with the complete feature series in the "Thunderbird Scoop" magazine, the Vintage Thunderbird Club International magazine, are included with the sale. **TITLED AS A 1962**

Summary 702cid V12 powered with a hand-formed aluminum body. Also features a glass grille and hand-blown glass taillights. A 20ft long, 8ft wide rolling sculpture.
Description The B-702 is the latest creation from the Blastolene Brothers, Michael Leeds and Randy Grubb. The B-702, designed by Leeds, was inspired by the great French cars of the 1930's. The size of the car is surprising at 19.5 feet long and the 94" width makes a powerful impact. The dramatic separation between the body and pod-style front fenders is further highlighted by the glass grille bars and woodlight headlights. The 702cid V12 was produced from 1960-1965 by GMC for use in 2 ½ ton medium-duty trucks, producing 650 ft/lbs of torque at 850rpm on regular gasoline. A modern Allison 4-speed sends power to a 9" Ford Currie rear end. 4-wheel power disc brakes and power steering makes the 4,800lb car drive like a dream. The Blastolene Brothers are known for their oversized V12 powered custom cars. Their first project was the "Jay Leno Tank Car" which rocked the automotive world in 2002. This is the first Blastolene creation to be offered to the public. The hand-formed aluminum body rides on a custom frame and the entire chassis is nickel-plated or powdercoated to a show quality. The interior is finished in Maroon leather and the oversized speedometer cluster is a Lincoln Zephyr unit. Rear fenders and body are all one flowing piece. The deep separation between the body and fenders are accented by hand-blown glass taillights. Painted Midnight Blue, this should be considered a rolling piece of sculpture. Debuted at Quail Lodge in Monterey, CA, in August 2007, the B-702 is a new construction being offered for the first time. This uniquely American creation is a true one-of-a-kind coach-built masterpiece. The Blastolene Brothers have created the unique look of this latest creation by combining the American love of high-powered, large displacement engines with a refined, almost European design sensibility. The resulting blend is unique in the automotive world; a passionate design statement with the performance of traditional American Hot Rodding. **TITLED AS A 2007 ASSEMBLED**
