coupe, your wrong on this. its not dumb at all, its common sense
the more weight is better sometimes. you have to distribute weight to the front of the car to keep the front end down, not only on the launches, but it increases the front downforce, loads the front springs to keep it planted. lower is faster.
i was going to add weight to my front end because my ride height is too high in front. it has bigblock springs in my car, im running a small block. im almost 2 inches higher than i need to be in front. i needed about 250-300 lbs in front to make up for the difference in weight. other wise i have to cut them down. the higher the front of the car is, the more wind resistance you get.
wheelies look cool but they arent consistant, and they slow you down. if you get too high you have to let out of the gas and this in turn will take about a 10th from your ET. wheelies wont win you races, unless your at a wheelie contest
you can fix this by changing launch chips on trans brakes, changing the wheelie bar height, air pressure, weight, traction, tires
also cars that twist off the line arent consistant either. flat, low, and level. fastest ways to get down the track.
mustangs are also prone to do wheelies, i dont know why but they always seem to lift the front end up, even with a mild engine.

Depends on the car cause yeah it will slow u down sometimes n sometimes it can mess up a run

you cannot have a consistant wheelie. wont happen they slow you down. ive beaten many people because of it
weight is more consistant, and it works with any car

I know thats why i was laughting at puting a wheelie bar makes u go faster cause that is bull.It can make u faster but it can make u alot slower

wheelie bars might add 50-75 lbs, i have a set for my car, i dont run them because my car only lifts the front wheels about 3 inches off the ground. i would if it was like 10 inches and it was a little bit on an angle, my car is nice and flat, doesnt twist. consistancy is the key to bracket racing, i just need to work on my damn reaction times. if you cant cut a good light, your f*cked

they even use wheelie bars on front wheel drive nhra sport compact. it doesnt always matter if the front lifts because the body is going to roll making it go slower

and rwd wats the point of being able to launch it at maybe half throttle but with the wheelie bars u can floor and have a much better start

only can launch at what the torque converter, and drive line will let you. you can launch at 6000 if you want but you will spin the tires.
i wont go over 4600, i know over that im taking a chance of breaking axles snapping U joints, or breaking my transmission. 4600 is safe. for my car
yes front wheel drive cars use wheelie bars to keep the front end from lifting, gives them more traction off starts. if you spin the tires on launch you cost your self time.
anything that makes things more consistant on a race help you win races. air shifters, trans brake, big ass tires, a flat car that is built properly, wheelie bars, so many different things can make you go faster.
