where the f*** did u get that info from Coupe cause that is not completely correct!!I think u miss-read the article about it because some modes dont have collisions, but not the entire game
The multiplayer is quite the oposite of what you said. One section of multiplayer will actually allow up to 100 people!(no i didnt mistype that, it is actually one hundred)Clearly showing that it DOES have online multiplayer and it doesnt show this, but i recall one section of multiplayer DOES have collisions.
This is an article Mast Abeam posted on the DN, he didnt provide a link unfortunately and i read another article on Multiplayer but i really cant be assed right now to try to find more articles on multiplayer.
"OK, here's the deal on multiplayer.
There is real-time multiplayer on xbox live / PC / PSN but it's only in the "against the clock" events - Rally and Hill climb.
These races are hosted as large (up to 100 players) rooms, with car/track options chosen at random for a shortlist of 6 then voted on by players.
Private rooms can be set up.
These modes also work on system link/LAN
No split-screen
what's cool about this system is that with no actual "host" as such it prevents host-quitting/disconnecting-game cheating that can be a siginifcant problem in ranked online games.
It also keeps play flowing as the timer's always counting down to the next race. no waiting forever for the guy who's forgotten to ready-up
see also the long, tedious arguments about what to race next.
Not doing the collision-based racing means that wreckers cease to exist.
Basically were trying somethign different with Dirt, Taking a risk on a new idea. It does work really well, but I'm aware that (on paper, certainly) it;s not goign to be to everyone's tastes."
I bolded and underlined the section that says theres no collisions, but i believe that is only in one section of the online multiplayer. I recall reading another article that mentioned another online mode that has collisions. Like i said though i really cant be assed right now to try to find it.
